DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION

  • Content (the one you chose from the blue bag)
  • Topic (either from yellow sheet or contact TA for approval)
  • Title (make up youself--it must be descriptive and motivational)
    (e.g. Safety Keeps Me Smiling)
  • Grade level (make sure it is age appropriate)
OBJECTIVES
  • You need one objective per assignments one through three.
  • What students will do following the lesson.
  • Adds direction to the content/topic.
  • 3 domains which reflect the three assignments
      • assignment one: cognitive
      • assignment two: affective
      • assignment three: psychomotor/action
  • Never  write "The student will know or the student will understand"
  • Classification of objectives:
            • cognitive----------------what you know: knowledge based (there is a right/wrong answer)
                                                    (e.g. True or False: The food guide pyramid contains six elements.)
            • affective-----------------what you feel: no right/wrong answer
                                                    (e.g. List three healthy snacks that you enjoy.)
            • psychomotor/action-------what you do: movement is involved
                                                     (e.g. coloring, cutting, pasting)
TEACHING ACTIVITIES
  • You can choose one activity from text (either for assignment 1, 2, OR 3)
  • Describe step by step how to implement.


EVALUATION/ASSESSMENT

  • You need to design measure if it is not included in the curriculum package.
  • Make sure to attach it to assignment.
  • Can be crossword, quiz, worksheet, etc.
CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT/MATERIALS
  • Include everything!
  • Some examples: glue, markers, scissors, etc.
REFERENCE
  • If you came up with the idea yourself, make sure to cite yourself.
  • If you get the activity from a book, be sure to include a reference (this applies to the one you get from our textbook as well).
