Burns
-
Put cold water on burns.

Never put grease on a burn.

LIABILITY AND THE TEACHER
Playground and the school building

Three types of negligence teachers are liable for:

-
misfeasance: making a child perform
a task that is not appropriate for his/her age or physical ability. (i.e.
for punishment, making a kindergartner do 100 pushups.)
-
nonfeasance: failure to instruct students
about the safe use of equipment (i.e. not teaching students how to use
playground equipment.)
