Announcements: There was no lecture today in class. All we did was watch two movies...and some of the contents may appear on the next exam. If you need to schedule a make-up exam for the last exam, you must do so asap.

AFTER THE WARMING

• This movie showed the dismal side of what the greenhouse effect could do to our planet
• People needed to dislocate
• Babies were starving to death
• The world power was switched from the US to Japan because the Americans were responsible for the greenhouse effect

THE GREENING OF PLANET EARTH

• This movie presented the positive effects that global warming may have on our environment
• Plant growth will be enhanced
• Plants will use water more efficiently
• These stimulated plants will now extract more CO2 from the environment, that in the long run there will be no actual increase in the level of CO2 in our environment
• This film's sponsorship came from an oil company
